Composite Parts Tool Cleaning

MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

When metal tools are manufactured, residue has to be cleaned by hand with abrasive pads. Doing so takes an incredibly long amount of time and it’s often painful to the joints of the people who are cleaning the tools. In addition, because the pads are abrasive, they can damage the tools by affecting their shape. When you’re manufacturing thousands of identical parts, you can’t have them vary slightly different shapes or sizes.

Another traditional tool cleaning method is to use dry ice blasting, which is effective, but extremely noisy, involves lots of vibration, and can be difficult to use.

Our laser applications allows you to simply plug in the unit and clean tools four times faster than using dry ice blasting and eight times faster than using manual cleaning. In addition, laser cleaning doesn’t alter the tools’ shape or surface, and there’s no cleanup afterward.
