Unlike media blasting options, laser solutions provide a gentle, yet effective clean for historic buildings and conservation projects. And, because it absorbs contaminants as it removes them, it can safely handle hazardous coatings such as lead-based paint.

2. PRE-WELD/BRAZING TREATMENT

One of the most common problems we run into are oxides on metal products. Depending on the type of metal, oxides can corrode and break down the asset. Sometimes, these contaminants are a combination of coatings and corrosion. Our laser solutions effectively remove oxides like rust without harming the base layer. This leaves a pristine surface ideal for welding and brazing treatment.

By eliminating contaminants, you can create a strong bond when welding. That’s because there won’t be a layer preventing your parts from bonding together. By removing rust and other contaminants, you’ll not only extend the lifespan of your bond but also the end product.
